Darren graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Management Information Systems. During his first four years out of school, Darren was contracted to design and program cutting edge computer systems for Coca Cola. During Darren’s tenure in the IT world, he pioneered the development of a fully functional control protocol for data transmission over wide area radio networks, allowing for mobile data access at a time before most people had even heard of the Internet.
After four years in the field, Darren left the IT arena to join his father in a small real estate investment firm. Beginning as a property manager, Darren has learned the art and science of real estate as a manager, leasing agent, controller, and analyst for acquisitions and dispositions of real estate. In less than 15 years, he and his father have successfully consummated in excess of $450 million dollars worth of real estate transactions.
His experience as an asset manager and owner gives Darren deep insight into the decision making process and considerations of the property owner, which has led to unique solutions that would not be readily apparent to someone with more limited experience. A broker who has never owned any property seldom has the depth of experience of someone who has owned and managed property for years.
Coupling Darren’s experience in real estate and computer system design has allowed him to design and build powerful analytic systems to assist in the analysis of real estate asset performance.
